Surprise

Tonight I leave with managing editor and we both live in Hong Kong Island. He tells me that Cheng Sir has interviewed him in 2000. Oh, I also come to MP in 2000. He says AD recruited him in the same time and he chose AD finally. He also knows 阿全 since they had worked in HK Daily News together in the past.

No regret

I voluntarily give up a big chance to be appreciated by the top supervisor. I pass this chance to my friend, J. It is because I want to be a low-keyed colleague. I do not want to compete with the others.

Ming Pao announces interim result on Thursday. In the next day, AD publishes MP's net profit is down 7% but the headline of MP is up 7%. I tell this difference to J. Then we check it together. We find that many AD's reporters confuse the earning before and after the minority interests.

In the meeting, I do not speak out the mistake because I know that J want to take this chance. Finally, J wins the appreciation of Alfred. But I do not regret.

After work, I am very happy to eat late supper with Agnes.

First Day

Not adapt to my new job in the first day. There are many differences between AD and MP in doing the work. I do not know why I lose confidence in setting the headlines. It may be better afterwards.

Have worked in MP for more than six years. Happiness is accompanied with me nearly everyday due to many nice, helpful and funny colleagues (except my direct supervisor). It is unbelievable that I can associate with many good friends in MP.

I am delighted after designing many beautiful page layouts, for example 創富 money and many books. Rapid promotion is absolutely out of my expectation. After four years'work, I have already promoted to assistant managing editor. I appreciate my colleagues' help, especially 小葉, 雄仔, 阿權, 阿森, Felix, 阿君 and so forth. Of course, I myself also have made great effort.

Cakes + gifts

Apart from buying cakes for my colleagues, I also give gifts to three supervisors. I buy Disney stationery for Johnson's daughters. For Bill, I give him a key chain. The front shows his name and scripture is written on the back. I give Margaret a lovely bear doll which is holding a holy bible.

soft drink → milk

I like drinking milk instead of soft drink recently. I don't know why?

Yesterday, another unexpected supervisor suddenly wants me come back to help him.

Forget nearly all study

I do not have confidence to take the exam later.
